Oil prices are always changing and adapting to the global events, demand, and quantity that is left in Earth's soil. When their is an environmental catastrophe, oil prices rise due to their becoming high demand, and low supply. The fuel may not be able to be transported to cities when their is floods or hurricanes or other types of environmental disasters. During these events people like to stock up on fuel incase the supply of it ends at gas stations. This is a case when fuel prices rise, but fuel prices could drop as well. When they drop, the consumer may be getting a better deal on fuel, but in long term that could harm them. Since there are so many gas and oil companies in Alberta, lots of citizens are connected to the business surrounding it. When oil prices drop the companies don't get as much money causing them to not be able to pay their employees. This leads to large portions of employees getting fired and having to look for work, which isn't always available when economy is low. Future of Oil: In conclusion, oil will probably be used less often as the years go by. This is due to global warming becoming a big crisis in our everyday lives. The weather changes drastically because of global warming, and it can be confirmed with the recent hurricanes and floods, as well as droughts in other parts of United States. Although the whole business behind oil will end, countries would rather have Earth stay together instead of a couple cities/provinces gaining wealth from a product that causes so much harm.
